By "rush job" I think he means that the current DC movie universe is not yet set-up to be ready for the justice league. That's the way I took it.

TL:DR = The JL fights bigger and smaller enemies than the Avengers and across a bigger spectrum, from simple street hoods all the way up to alien gods with magic and science in between. That takes longer to set-up if you don't mess up. When you consider that DC is messing up, it's easy to see that they are r...

BIG SPOILER FOR THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 1 & 2

I disagree that the Garfield Spiderman movies are better than the Toby Maguire movies, or at least to this point. The 1st to Maguire movies are better than the first two Garfield movies, especially when you compare them to other movies of their own era.

But 3 Maguire movie fell off a lot. The Peter and Mary Jane "I love you but I don't love you" routine got tired. They were just plain too old fo...

As I was unaware of the black Captain America, I read Maniac's link. There is no way in hell that Marvel puts that story on the Silver Screen. It tells too much of the dirty underside of American history.

Count me as one who didn't think she was hot enough. Mary Jane is supposed to be blinding, you-should-be-a-model-or-on-tv hot. I didn't think the last girl was hot enough to convey that on the silver screen, where all the girls, even the extras, are smoking hot compared to us normal people.

Yeah, everybody who knows Spider-man enough to be reading about him on the internet knows that Gwen dies.

If I don't know anything about the situation other than that their are Vampires that need killing whom would I chose....????

I think I gotta roll with Buff.

I'd go, in order.

1) Buffy
2) the dupeal hunter (to you uninitiated, that would be Vampire Hunter D.
3) Van Helsing - He is a little before my time, but he is legend and he did face the Count Dracula himself, that counts for a whole lot.

I agree with you here. Superman & Batman are both too big to cram decent stories about both of them into 2 hours. On top of all that they are going to add Wonder Woman.

Not to mention that a villain big enough for all three of them is going to need some character development of his own.

To do this movie correctly, it needs to be Lord-of-the-Rings-trilogy big. But one movie, yeah, its going to be a clusterfuck.

Don't tell me Burn Notice had a bad ending too. I have watched it all the way up to about 7 or 8 episodes left in the last season. If it had a crappy ending I will be quite depressed.

P.S

Don't spoil it for me. Just say whether the ending was just a little bad or was entirely crappy.

And RDJ was playing in black-face, that is an entirely different thing with different connotations than simply playing a character who is different race in the comic book.

You sound young, look up the history white actors playing roles in black-face, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I gotta push back on the author saying that Superman/Batman should not be afraid of Star Wars. Everybody should be afraid of Star War.

Google "Jediism" and you will see what I mean.

Releasing a blockbuster movie within one month of Star Wars Episode 7 is suicide. If it's one month behind people will still be going to see SW a second and third time. If it's one month before people will already be in line to watch SW.

I agree with both of you on all points other than Warner Bros. doing this too fast. I think they are doing Superman & Batman too fast, but overall DC is doing its heavy hitters incredibly slow. StarWarsFan is correct in that it's uncertain how audiences will react to Ben Affleck as Batman; neither am I sure that people are enough in love with Man of Steel to make it a sure-fire Iron Man level box office numbers. So I do feel like they are rusing a Superman + Batman movie, but the ...

I thought the guy from Breaking Bad was going to play Lex Luthor.

Still Joaquin would be good in any villain role he plays. I'm still pissed he didn't get an oscar for playing Commadus in "Gladiator".

Something important needs to happen. They need to kill someone or separate them from the group for several episodes and let us see them adjust.

Let them fight a super-villain.

I thought the second movie was good, not quite as good as the first but still good. I don't see where the story will go for the third movie. They already had him to get back with his wife just so she could be kidnapped. I guess the only thing left for them to do now is to have ex-wife's second husband, was his name Stuart, do the kidnapping for revenge. So now a bunch of people can get killed over a jilted lover.

Yeah I don't see where this movie is going t...

I thought it was a bit of a plot device for them to Terra-form earth. If they can Terra-form, it makes more sense for them to change a different planet. They still need other life in order to live. They still have to eat, sleep, etc. Changing the Earth in a way that kills all the people is also going to kill all the creatures in all the ecosystems on the planet. Moreover, why would they want the change Earth in such a way that it takes away all their super-powers? It makes no sense.

Err, Sloth, that make Raditz a villain. Killing innocent people just so you can profit at their expense makes you a villain. They fact that your whole race does just makes them all villains as well.

I thought the movie was good. But the more I think about it the more I see that it deviates from the classic Superman character. That is always bad.

The Dark Knight got Batman and even moreso, the Joker perfectly. MoS changes both Superman and Lois Lane.

If you have seen the movie it's plain to see how it will lead to a Justice League movie. Although it is set in a different universe, Nick Fury said it the best in the Avengers in reference to Thor showing up, "we are hopelessly, hilariously outgunned".

Superman is so much stronger than everything else humanity has ever seen that it is scary. And two such aliens, Superman and Zod, showed up at practically the same time. There is no way in hell that the major...

I just saw it myself. It was very good. But is it one of the greatest? Hmm...

It is not as good as The Dark Knight (but what super-hero movie is), or Batman Begins, but it is better than the Dark Knight Rises.
It also is not as good as Iron Man 1, but is better than Iron Man 2 & 3.
It is better than both Hulk movies.
It is better than Thor.
It is better than Captain America.
It is not quite as good as the Avengers, however, I don&...
